The story of the MB Chamber .vs Elmer Fudd continues.

On October 1st, the blogger know as Elmer Fudd answered the Sun News' request to respond or information would be turned over to lawyers for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce regarding a defamation suit to learn the identity of the blogger.

Elmer responded in protest to the subpoena to release their registration information from The Sun News' Web site.

Attorneys for the chamber now seek an expedited hearing to address two motions in the case. According to a Sun News article, attorney's for the chamber wrote a letter to the judge hearing the case saying, "Unfortunately, this case cannot proceed until the above motions are addressed. We are concerned that if a hearing on the motions is not expedited, it will be several months before the defendant is required to answer the complaint and the parties can move forward with discovery."

The Sun News consented to an expedited hearing.
