Discover Myrtle Beach can confirm the recent story on Screamscape regarding buyer looking at the park. According to sources, were at least two companies looking at the park as of last week.

The first company, a Spanish-based company, is looking to buy the park and reopen it.

A second company, Parc Management, who recent acquired Myrtle Waves and NASCAR Speedpark, was interested, but is rumored to want to move it. We assume this means that this company is looking to take the rides and distribute them through outside Myrtle Beach, but we can not be sure if that is true or just a rumor.

The third company is a mystery to us. We have not received a name of a company, nor can we confirm if there is actually a third company. Rumors has swirled about Six Flags, and with a recent reporting for excellent 3Q revenue, Six Flags may be another choice, but no evidence that they are interested has been presented to us, at this time.

A sale of Hard Rock Park would need to be done soon in order for a potential buyer to have enough time to market the 2009 season. With each passing day, time is shorter and the job harder.
