Fiesta Del Burro Loco is one of the newer restaurants on the Strand, but you'd never know it by looking. The exterior of the building was created to look authentically old and straight from Mexico; its visual appeal alone is a draw.
Once inside you won't be disappointed. The interior is eclectic and every bit as extraordinary as the exterior. At the door you'll be greeted by a three-sided, 45-foot-tall mural of a bull fight. Other murals are scattered throughout. A billboard collage covers the ceiling. There's an upside-down velvet Elvis mural above the bar. And the whole place is filled with authentic artifacts ... so filled, you'll discover something new each time you visit.
And you must visit. Burro Loco manages to assault your senses in a most delightful way. The smell of fajitas sizzling on a mesquite grill will make your mouth water, as will the pizzas cooking in the wood-burning oven. Once you've tasted Burro Loco's handcrafted Margaritas (the limes are squeezed by hand) and their made-from-scratch tortillas, your taste buds will be hooked.
Fiesta Del Burro Loco is open for dinner daily. Reservations are not required, but call-ahead seating is available. Don't miss the fajitas, a house specialty, or the hand-pitted, stuffed jalapenos.
