The quest for the perfect oyster, a casual island restaurant atmosphere, an ice cold beer, sweet and sour shrimp, and fresh local fish, finally ended for the creators of the future Bimini's Oyster Bar. The search had taken them to the Florida Keys and all throughout the Caribbean Islands. And, though there were aspects of many restaurants and cafes they had seen that appealed to them, they knew that none should be copied. So, they created their own unique place.
Bimini's Oyster Bar & Seafood Cafe was born in 1985. The desire of the owners was to bring to Myrtle Beach the taste and feel of the islands. The laid-back atmosphere quickly brought locals and visitors to Bimini's to sample the freshest shellfish and fish, and to encounter the best service to be found on the beach. Add the sounds of Jimmy Buffett, Island Reggae, and of course, Beach Music, and you have, not just a restaurant, but the Bimini's experience.
